A lovely onyx cross and enamel set from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This 2-piece set is made of 15kt yellow gold and comprised of a pin and a pair of matching earrings. All three pieces feature an elaborate 3-dimensional design which depicts a single onyx cross which rests in the center of a curved gold and enameled arc. The onyx crosses are a rich black color and all have 15kt gold caps at each point that are ornately etched. The curved arc, which lies behind the cross, has a wonderful, inlaid enameled bordering design that is black and white in color. On the inner part of the arc is solid gold which is detailed with a lovely and intricate etched design. On the back of the pin is the original c-catch clasp and each earring hangs from a 15kt gold wire. Each piece is very light in weight and comfortable to wear. This beautiful set would make a great addition to any collection!
